Context
An amateur padel player’s competitive history is scattered across tournaments, clubs and seasons. Padel Archive investigates whether that career can be reliably reconstructed from public results, and how ambiguous player identities really are.
The hard problem: identity
Two «Juan García» entries may or may not be the same person. The prototype never decides by name: it keeps every source appearance, normalises names and requires evidence —public identifiers, partner context, human review— to link appearances to a canonical person. Anything that cannot be confirmed goes to quarantine and stops counting, instead of polluting the profile.
What you can see
A player profile gathers seasons, matches, tournaments, partners, rivals and head-to-head records, with a search that handles duplicate names gracefully. There is also an internal panel to review appearances, provenance and quarantines.
Status
This is a private prototype with a frozen, fictional corpus for screenshots: real player data is never published. The full demo works by invitation.
